Currently we are very busy with project work so to avoid disappointment please contact us in advance if you are thinking of visiting as we can’t always guarantee we will be open.
We try to have someone at the Ecocentre at the following times:
Northfield Ecocentre – Tuesday to Friday – 10am – 2pm
Our address is:
Northfield Ecocentre (Behind Oulsnams Estate Agents)
53 Church Road
Northfield Ecocentre is located in the centre of Northfield. We are situated next to the Adult Learning Centre and Ouslam Estate Agent and we’re about a two minute walk from Northfield Shopping Centre.
There are no parking facilities at the Ecocentre so it is recommended you use public transport or park in the Northfield Shopping Centre car park, which is pay and display. There is also a free public car park at the Church Road entrance to Victoria Common. Both are approximately a two minute walk form Northfield Ecocentre.
The Northfield Ecocentre is a 10-15 minute walk from Northfield train station or just a short bus journey from Longbridge train station on bus number 49 and Selly Oak train station on bus numbers 144, 61, 62 and 63.
Northfield is on the main Redditch to Lichfield cross-city line and is linked by rail to Birmingham city centre; local suburbs including Selly Oak, Bournville, Kings Norton, Longbridge and Barnt Green; as well as nearby Alvechurch and Redditch.
To plan your trip to Northfield Ecocentre by public transport visit
Visitors from surrounding areas as well as further afield can reach Northfield on bus routes 18, 27, 29, 61, 62 and 63 operated by National Express West Midlands, and route 144 operated by First.
Northfield is approximately half an hour’s bus journey from the city centre on bus routes 144, 61, 62 and 63.
There is a cycle route down the River Rea which allows easy access into Northfield both from the city centre and from Worcestershire. Northfield Ecocentre also has a small bike rack and there are other bike racks in Northfield town centre.
